The prize may have been competitive but the sharing of bread afterwards was in the true spirit of cooperation! Thank you to all the wonderful authors, publishers and booksellers present and absent who keep movements for change buoyed and afloat with inspirational books. Long live Radical Bookshops!

This prize is a great idea.
Nicholas Shaxson said “Nobody supports the riots”. He is describing the thousands of angry people who participated as “nobody”. He offers no alternative response to police assassination. This comes from the same school of ruling class theory who state “Nobody predicted the crisis”.
Laurie Penny describes your customers as “the sort of people who cannot make a sandwich without writing a communiqué’” She opposes working class self theory, preferring our struggles to be explained exclusively by Oxbridge.
I’ve not read Tweets from Tahrir but it is at the top of my buying list.
